“I have had the opportunity to know and work with Dr. Sorum for the last five years. Dr Sorum elected to participate in my course offered at that time at Concordia University for students focusing on developing their orthopedic manual Physical Therapy skills prior to graduation. Dr Sorum excelled in this demanding course, developed a genuine commitment to understanding and applying clinical research out of a commitment to offering his patients the best care possible. Dr Sorum is gifted with excellent hand skills, and over that last five years has repeatedly taken the opportunity to take or audit courses I have taught as he continues to pursue excellence in his clinical practice. He will excel in his new endeavor as it will allow him to do what he does best, commit and focus his energy on the individual needs of his patients every day. I recommend him without hesitation.”
“Over the past year I have had the opportunity to get to know Nate during Myopain Seminar’s Dry Needling coursework. What stood out in my time with Nate was his desire to deliver excellent customer service, as well as his passion for continuing education to further advance his evaluation and treatment techniques, all to enhance the patient experience while receiving physical therapy. Those who receive treatment from Nate are in good hands!”
“Nate completed the dry needling course program of Myopain Seminars. Nate did not just pass the rigorous theoretical and practical exams, but had the highest scores of his entire class. Nate is an excellent physical therapist. When students take our dry needling examinations, I sometimes wonder whether I would let that person treat me. I would have no hesitation becoming a patient of Nate Sorum. He is an intelligent, evidence – driven physical therapist with great analytical and technical skills. I recommend Nate Sorum without reservation.”
“I have played baseball my entire life. Now I am clinical Physical Therapist, regional director, and an adjunct professor but I continue to play baseball. Over the last six years I have also become involved in consulting for the baseball team at my alma mater. My Physical Therapy education, baseball background, and previous rotator cuff repair have driven me toward a specialty in the overhead athlete. Prior to my Dry Needling education, I was a skeptic in regards to the effectiveness of this intervention strategy. It was not until I received a needle treatment myself that I became a believer in the therapeutic benefits of Dry Needling. Because of my personal results, I made a commitment to get myself trained and certified in Dry Needling. I currently use it for a variety of myofascial pathologies. I have been extremely pleased with the results and how seamlessly Dry Needling fits into the comprehensive nature of a Physical Therapy plan. Needling has proven to be especially effective in reducing muscle pain due to eccentric loading activities and overuse associated with baseball. I have found this intervention has lead to faster bounce back of rotator cuff and scapular stabilizer muscles between starts, faster recovery from nagging overuse injuries, and fewer instances of significant injuries. I use Dry Needling in my practice because it works and I expect that those who want to stay on the cutting edge of rehabilitation will adopt this policy as well.”

“Nate Sorum PT, DPT is a former employee. He does an excellent job of dry needling which includes understanding the diagnosis, finding the triggerpoints and then treating appropriately.
Nate has treated both of my hamstrings and right shoulder quickly and effectively with excellent results. I am stronger, running better and able to throw without discomfort which was not the case prior to dry needling.
Because of the research validating effectiveness and personal improvement Nate will be helping our patients at SPORT Clinic Physical Therapy with dry needling.”
